Welcome to ‘Swallows Nest', a luxury studio based at Blaze Farm, Wildboarclough – the home of Hilly Billy Ice Cream - set within the Peak National Park. With public footpaths accessible from the door, 3 towns within a short drive and a fab local pub a mere 5 minute walk away, Swallows Nest is the perfect place to unwind, relax and explore the amazing area.
Our luxury studio boasts a king size bed, ample wardrobe storage, en-suite shower room, kitchenette complete with fridge, oven, microwave, kettle and toaster topped with granite and kitted out with everything needed should you wish to stay in to cook – did we mention the under-floor heating throughout...?!
Of course all bedding and towels are provided too.
Perfect for couples but unfortunately we are not suitable for babies, children or animals. As Swallows Nest is on the first floor, it is not suitable for wheelchairs either.
We can also accommodate business customers too – a great option for unwinding after a busy day at the office.
Designed with couples in mind, Swallows Return is a converted hay loft and milking Shippon at Blaze Farm. Boasting 2 ensuite King size bedrooms upstairs, both ensuite bathrooms have a walk in shower and underfloor heating at the flick of a switch. All bedding and towels are provided.
If you don't fancy dining out, the fully kitted kitchenette at Swallows Return has everything you'll need on your stay. With a large dining table, sofa and TV, the living space downstairs also has ground source heating on permanently so it's always toasty warm.
Not suitable for babies or young children.
Its a perfect hideaway and an ideal base from which to explore an abundance of rock climbing and great walking routes including The Roaches and Shutlingsloe.
Why not walk to the local pub or visit one of the local towns to eat: the spa town of Buxton is close by and the popular market towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne are both within 30 minutes drive away. Not to mention Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Tissington Hall!
Steeped in history and located in the stunning Peak District, Underbank Camping Barn in Wildboarclough provides everything the fair-weather-camper needs. With far reaching views and multiple walks from the door, this quaint barn is perfect for posh camping. Boasting underfloor heating in the wet room and a fully furnished kitchenette - it's the perfect place to switch off from the hassles of life and enjoy the outdoors.
Underbank Camping Barn comprises 2 bedrooms upstairs with a wall mounted electric heater in each, ample ground floor space including a dining room, a shower/toilet washroom with underfloor heating, kitchenette complete with induction hob, fridge, toaster, kettle and utensils plus a walled garden ensuring plenty of space to enjoy some quality time outside in the beautiful surroundings.
Underbank Camping Barn is a 5 minute walk from Blaze Farm where we have an ice cream parlour and tea rooms on site. The farm is open to the public all year round Wednesdays – Sundays from 10am and we have basic provisions for sale if required.
The Piggery is a delightful studio-style, detached cottage resting on the award-winning working Blaze Farm on the outskirts of Wildboarclough near Sutton in Cheshire. Boasting exceptional surroundings within the Peak District National Park and breath-taking views, The Piggery is a wonderful dwelling for a couple seeking a country hideaway.
Step into the open-plan living space, where you can conjure up a mouth-watering feast for your loved one, ready to enjoy at the dining table for two or alfresco in the garden whilst you soak up the panoramic countryside views. After dinner, snuggle up on the sofa and select your favourite film from the Smart TV as the evening's entertainment.
As your eyes grow heavy, climb into the sumptuous king-size bed to catch your rest ahead of another adventure filled day. In the morning, wake-up tired eyes with a refreshing shower, before setting out to explore the surroundings, where you can take leisurely strolls while taking in the stunning views of the countryside. On the farm itself, you will find a welcoming café and ice cream parlour, famed for its Hilly Billy Ice Cream, open Wednesday to Sunday.
The Peak District National Park, where you're situated, offers a wealth of opportunities for outdoor pursuits, including hiking trails, cave explorations, rock climbing, a forest, and a castle. Treat your loved one to a getaway they'll never forget at The Piggery.
